Exploring

Montana

Finding life in Montana light.

I spent a lot of the summer of 2020 lying on the couch feeling polluted, tired, claustrophobic,
dealing with chemo and existential fear.
I was yearning for fresh air, nature, expansive calm.

Fast forward to 2022, and we’ve been inhaling a lot of it in big sky country.

I’ve always been scared of horses; I think I was kicked as a kid. But Kerry loves them so we spent some time riding;
turns out, I just needed to meet the right horses, trained by the right wranglers. I’m so glad to have now met Comanche, and the amazing wranglers at Paws Up— including Jackie, Lydia, Hanna, Anna and Sammy.
We had some great adventures, including driving cattle, which is a top life moment.

All at Paws Up, east of Missoula.
